Habit Is Memory
There is no such thing as a poor memory, only a trained or untrained one. There is no limit to the capacity of the memory. Lucius Scipio was able to remember the names of all the people of Rome; Seneca could memorize and repeat two thousand words after hearing them once.

Test Your Memory
If you can remember any one thing by association, you can do it with anything else. A series of tests for you to take now to indicate how limited your untrained memory is.

Interest in Memory
The first step is to be interested in remembering names, faces, dates, figures, facts—anything, and that you have confidence in your ability to retrain them.

Link Method of Memory
What the Link Method is. Use this method of associating ridiculous mental images with items you want to remember. Start to remember as you've never remembered before.

Peg System of Memory
The Peg System helps you associate and remember numbers. You can learn to remember 52 items by number, in and out of order.

Uses of the Peg and Link Systems
Start with remembering a Shopping List and Daily Errands. From this you will go on to more difficult feats.

How to Train Your Observation
Test yourself (and your friends) on a "trick" sign. How to sharpen and develop your observation abilities.

Free Marketing Ebooks 10 Ways to Write More Effective Ads

To properly understand advertising or to learn even its rudiments one must start with the right conception. Advertising is salesmanship. Its principles are the principles of salesmanship. Successes and failures in both lines are due to like causes. Thus every advertising question should be answered by the salesman's standards.

Let us emphasize that point. The only purpose of advertising is to make sales. It is profitable or unprofitable according to its actual sales.

It is not for general effect. It is not to keep your name before the people. It is not primarily to aid your other salesmen. Treat it as a salesman. Force it to justify itself. Compare it with other salesmen. Figure its cost and result. Accept no excuses which good salesmen do not make. Then you will not go far wrong.

The difference is only in degree. Advertising is multiplied salesmanship. It may appeal to thousands while the salesman talks to one. It involves a corresponding cost. Some people spend $10 per word on an average advertisement. Therefore every ad should be a super-salesman.

Thirteen volunteer panelists were trained according to Standard Method 2170, flavor profile analysis (FPA). Following training these panelists underwent triangle test screening to determine whether or not they could detect the odorants used in this study. Following triangle testing, panelists underwent directional difference testing to determine if temperature affected odor perception when presented with two water samples. Following directional difference testing, panelists used FPA and evaluated water samples that contained odorants at either 25 C or 45 C. Samples containing geosmin cooled to 5 C were also evaluated.

The demand for consumer credit is an area of economics that is of great interest to those in the lending community. While much research has been performed on this topic in the financial industry, the findings have been very closely guarded for competitive reasons. In this study, reduced form equations were derived to form the basis of a 2SLS regression model. This model was used to estimate the demand for consumer credit in the United States over the period 1973 2002. Six independent variables were included in the analysis: monetary base, unemployment rate, consumer confidence index, disposable personal income, federal funds interest rate and the price/barrel of oil.

Fecal bacteria and pathogens are a major source of surface water impairment. In Virginia alone, approximately 73% of impaired waters are impaired due to fecal coliforms (FC). Because bacteria are a significant cause of water body impairment and existing bacterial models are predominantly based upon laboratory-derived information, bacterial models are needed that describe bacterial die-off and transport processes under field conditions. Before these bacterial models can be developed, more field-derived information is needed regarding bacterial survival and transport. The objectives of this research were to evaluate bacterial survival under field conditions and to develop a comprehensive, spatially variable (distributed) bacterial model that requires little or no calibration.
