Ebook Weight Concern And Smoking In Children
Studies have identified many predictors of smoking in children including parental smoking, parenting style, peer influence, knowledge and beliefs about smoking, intentions to smoke, availability of cigarettes, school bonding, social support, and personality variables such as independence, sensation seeking, rebelliousness, aggressiveness, and shyness (Conrad, Flay, & Hill, 1992; Greisler, Kandel, & Davies, 2002; Robinson & Klesges, 1997). However, the impact of weight-related variables on smoking initiation has not been thoroughly investigated.
