Laptop Connect is CingularÂ’s laptop mobility solution that uses a compatible PC card modem, data-capable handset, or Wi-Fi-enabled laptop, along with Communication Manager software and the appropriate Data Connect rate plan to provide wireless data access through CingularÂ’s Broadband Connect and EDGE networks.Access to Cingular Wi-Fi hotspots requires a Wi-Fi Connect plan in addition to a Data Connect Plan.
